Bringing Hope to Those With Chronic Illness and Their Loved Ones
who
My name is Emily, and I am a chronic illness girlie by genes, a researcher at heart, and a nonprofit enthusiast by choice. I believe that nothing is a waste. I want to share what I wish I knew when I was at the start of my chronic illness journey.
how
My philosophy is built on the belief in the imago dei, or image of God, meaning that all humans are born with inherent dignity and worth. Seeing yourself and your illness in this light can change everything.
why
Chronic illness is a major and usually unexpected life change. A lot of people feel a lot of anxiety, fear, sadness, anger, and so many other big emotions when their health fails. Having a lens to see this changing landscape through can make all the difference.
